Prestwood House

Prestwood House Nursing Home opened in 1985 and sits prominently within the beautiful grounds of the Prestwood Estate; 55 acres of privately owned woodland near Stourbridge.  Set in a perfect, tranquil setting in a corner of England’s glorious countryside the home enjoys some beautiful views of the grounds.

This historical manor house is now a private residential and nursing home for the elderly

Prestwood House is a care home registered with the Care Quality Commission.  I has 44 rooms and aims to provide comfortable  accommodation and both nursing and residential care.  26 rooms are primarily for single occupancy, with 9 double rooms being able to accommodate married couples or partners, or ideal for those individuals who wish to share a room by choice.  All rooms are equipped with wash-hand basin and remote colour TV and DVD player.  Some rooms have en-suite facilities and bathrooms are adapted for disabled use.  Each room has the facility for a private telephone line.

Anyone over the age of 65 years, including married couples or partners, who because of physical incapacities require help with daily living, is entitled to apply for a place at Prestwood House. Whilst we do have some younger clients, most are in their 80s, some in their 90s and we have a number of centenarians.

Space to enjoy

Light and airy communal rooms offer space to relax and enjoy activities with friends. The Porters’ Rest Lounge is ideal for quiet pastimes and reading or just watching the squirrels on the lawns. In the Lady Grey Lounge and the Butler’s Pantry, residents can often be found chatting with friends and visitors.
