All three of our care homes are set within the beautiful grounds of the 55-acre Prestwood Estate, where the woodland carpet changes in Spring from snowdrops and crocuses to daffodils to bluebells and where the autumn sees the leaves ablaze with reds, oranges and yellows. The River Stour runs through grazing land and a whole variety of wildlife flourishes. A tranquil setting in a corner of England’s glorious countryside.
Situated on the border of Dudley and Staffordshire, the Prestwood Estate is situated near the village of Kinver, not far from Kingswinford, Stourbridge and the well-known market town of Kidderminster.
Prestwood is keen to retain links with the local community and has a high reputation within in; clients often apply to through word of mouth recommendation from the local community. The grounds have plenty of space for visitor parking and easily accommodate the community buses that include the Prestwood estate within their scheduled stops.

Prestwood House and Prestwood Coach House provide long and short term nursing and residential care for men and women over 60 years. Full nursing care is offered in both Prestwood House and Prestwood Coach House to meet the needs of older people who are frail, wheelchair bound, or suffering long-term illness.
Prestwood Lodge is a dedicated residential care home for men and women over 60 years old who need extra assistance in their daily lives.
Married couples, partners or companions are welcomed at all our homes as we can offer shared rooms, if available.
All homes are designed for able-bodied and disabled use, with wheelchair-friendly wide corridors, doors and lifts to allow easy access for all residents.
Dignity, respect and privacy
All of us at Prestwood believe that every resident has the right to live their life with privacy, dignity, independence and choice. We understand that privacy is a vital factor in ensuring that each clients dignity is respected and maintained. We will endeavour to promote and uphold the rights of our clients at all times.
Each client is assigned a key-worker to ensure his or her individual care needs are assessed and reviewed regularly. A Care Plan is agreed prior to a client arriving at Prestwood and is designed to ensure all physical, emotional and spiritual needs are met in the way the client wishes. It will include practical details, such as health care needs, and personal preferences – from daily routine and special dietary requirements, to how he or she wants to be addressed.
Visitors are welcome at any time in our homes– there are no set hours or days. Meals for visitors are available at a charge.
Standard laundry services, in-house activities and hobbies, in-house entertainment, minibus outings to places of interest, shopping trips, and social events are included in the fees. Other services such as hairdressing, newspapers, private physiotherapy and chiropody are charged to a client’s account.
